Each year Spartan Blades makes four Special Edition Spartan Harsey Folders. A Special Edition for 2022 is the 2022 Koi Fish edition. Both Mark and Curtis the founders of Spartan Blades, spent several years working in Asia and living in Japan. This folder was meant to represent the incredible Japanese culture. One of the things they loved about Japan is the way they fuse ancient and modern ways to create efficiency and order amount the people and their daily lives.  Spartan Blades hope they have achieved this by fusing modern materials with artwork that is classic Japanese. 

Designed by prolific knife maker William W. Harsey Jr., the Spartan Harsey Folder (SHF), the SHF is a reliable frame lock knife, that except for the blade and stop pin is totally made of 6AL-4V titanium. This quality folder has a reversible pocket clip and dual thumb studs allowing for our left-handed friends to be accommodated. It is an ideal tool for anyone that appreciates quality!

It is a winner for sure featuring a 3.95" CPM-S45VN stainless steel blade, full titanium handles and stonewashed finish. The ergonomic handle features finger grooves and jimping to lock the design into your hand during hard use. There is an internal over-travel prevention mechanism built into the handle and the Spartan logo pocket clip is reversible for ambidextrous tip-up carry. The dual thumbstuds are extremely easy to access because Spartan has milled a perfect ramp for your thumb to find these studs. It's a well thought out design and is manufactured with Spartan quality so you know you're getting a knife that can and will serve you well in any theater of use.
